I'm Joining the Bandwagon...

What bandwagon??  What the heck is she talking about?  I'm sure y'all are wondering what kind of "bandwagon" I am referring to, so I'm not going to mess around...I've decided to bite the bullet and join the "Jillian Michael Ripped in 30/30 Day Shred" Bandwagon...

I've become kind of bored with my at-home workouts on the days that I don't actually go into the gym and I also feel like I'm stuck in a rut/plateau with my fitness level.  Sure, I do a bit of cardio and a lot of strength training, but I feel like I'm at a stand still.  I want to kick things up a notch or two, and after seeing time and time again the crazy results that so many of you are getting with her workouts, I decided to give them a try!

So, these are the three DVD's that came in the mail today:

Now, I'm not saying I'm going to do them all at the same time...I'm planning on switching things up every few days.  But my thought process is this:  On the days that I decide to do these workouts at home, I will either do the Ripped in 30 and Killer Buns and Thighs together or the 30 Day Shred and Killer Buns and Thighs together.  That will equal a total of approximately an hour workout.  And from what I have been reading/hearing around here in blogland, I should definitely see some results!

So, for your viewing pleasure, I've decided to to do a little "before and after" of my results.  Now, let me preface this with the fact that I'm not looking to transform my body.  I mean, I have come a long way in my fitness journey, but I just want to kick things up a bit and tighten a little here, a little there, if you catch my drift.  I am doing this for myself and to see if these bad boys can live up to the hype that I have been hearing so much about!

Without further adieux, here are my "before" pictures...
I apologize for the quality of the pics...I only have my phone as a camera right now, so they will have to suffice!  So, let's see what changes my body makes in the next 30 days...I don't have much I want to change, but a few tweaks here and there wouldn't hurt!

What about y'all??  Have you tried the Jillian workouts yet?  Which ones are your favorite?  Have you seen results?  Fill me in on all the dirty details, and wish me luck!

  2. I tried it before surgery and loved it but finding time when I won't wake people was my hard part. I definitely felt the burn!!! :) Good Luck!

  3. I did the 30 Day Shred and loved it!! Saw great results! (You can see mine here: http://afluffygirl.blogspot.com/2013/08/30-day-shred-results.html) And I just started the Ripped in 30, so I'm hoping I will like it as much as 30DS!

  6. Good luck girl. I did JM a couple times and honestly it DOES work but I want to drop kick her in the face most of the time so I take long breaks from her - which is where I am now. LOL... Looking forward to following your results.

  9. i hate jillian. shes so mean! hahahahaha. she totally kicks my ass. i need to do this again! but first, i need to get my baby to learn how to take a nap so i can have 30 minutes where i can use both of my arms, LOL!
    but really. like marcy said - i think jillian needs you! you have better abs than that lady!
