Good Hump Day morning, y'all!! How is it possible that we have reached the middle of the week already?! I feel as though this week is flying by! As I am rushing around here like a chicken with my head chopped off...I'm trying to tie up loose ends before leaving at noon for the rest of the week/weekend for a day that I have waited for my entire life. The day that my baby sister becomes a Mrs.!!
Yes it's true. My little sister gets married this Saturday as you are well aware because that's pretty much all I have had to talk about for the last month or so! I'm sorry if I have bored you. This is just a very important day in our family, and as her MOH, I believe I have the right to brag her up a bit ;)
That said, this will be my last post for the week, as I will literally be knee deep in final wedding planning mode until she says "I Do." This is just a glimpse as to what the rest of my week looks like:
This afternoon: we are hauling all of the decorations to the reception location. This includes about 200+ pumpkins and a gazillion gourds. As well as lanterns, twigs, candles, and just about anything you could think of for a "vintage country fall wedding" Oh my goodness, y'all. I cannot wait for you to see the finished product! It is going to be GORGEOUS! Be sure you are following me on instagram (@jennaschaben) as I will be posting glimpses of the wedding/reception all weekend long. I just hope you don't get sick of me! Hahaha!
Thursday morning: covering tables with linens and prepping the hall for Friday. Followed by decorating the church for the ceremony...
Thursday evening: Bridal party mani/pedi party with cocktails and appetizers for one final fling before the big day!
Friday morning: Heading to the hall to decorate and put the finishing touches together for the reception.
Friday evening: Rehearsal and Rehearsal dinner.
Saturday morning: Hair and makeup appointments with breakfast and coffee at the salon. We leave there to head to the church to get dressed and ready for the wedding, take pictures, eat lunch and then the main event!
Saturday evening: After being shuttled from bar to bar, we will finally make our appearance at the reception! I'm hoping to high heavens that I'm not too tuned in that I completely bomb my MOH speech that I have been working on for the past week...Not gonna lie. This is the thing that I am most worried about. I've already had a few sleepless nights worrying about it! Say a little prayer for me if you wouldn't mind!!
Then we will eat, watch an amazing video done by a local videographer called "Wedding Storytellers." You need to check them out. I cry at every wedding I've ever been to that has had them. I cannot wait to see what they come up with for my sister!
Then, I will proceed to dance and drink the night away with all of our family and friends! I cannot wait!!
Sunday afternoon is lunch and gift opening at my parent's house. I will probably look like hell warmed up. There's no denying I'm gonna go big. Your little sister only gets married once, right??!!
So here's to an amazing next few days and an even more amazing Saturday. It's time to celebrate my sister. One of my best friends and the Godmother to my son. I love her more than I could explain, and cannot wait to stand beside her on her big day!!
Tune in next week for the wedding recap with pictures galore!!
Until next time...
So sweet. Have a great time and congrats to your sister. You will kick that speech's butt!!

I can't wait to see pictures. My brother just got engaged this weekend. I wish I could be as excited but as a sister to a brother I don't think I will be as involved. A little disappointing because I would love to experience that some day and all I have is brothers. I need a daughter :-) Have fun and best wishes to your sister.
